DOUGLAS
FIR
Reclaimed
from buildings, tressels and other structures,
this wood is generally found in the northwest
and midwest.
Due to the vast fir forests cut in the 1800's
and early 1900's
we find this wood in good quantity and in
larger timbers.
Used for beamwork and for fine furniture,
flooring,
and cabinetry. Somewhat susceptible to dinging
and
marring. Moderately resistant to decay.

flooring material. It is lightweight and
is perfect for
decorative ceilings, wainscot and mouldings.
